Rumsey Hall School 201 Romford Rd. Washington Depot, CT 06794 (860) 868-0535 From Boston/Hartford: 1-84 West to Exit 17 (Middlebury/ Woodbury). Route 64 West for 8 miles. Take a right onto Route 6 East in Woodbury, CT. After 1.5 miles at Canfield Corner Pharmacy (junction of Routes 6 and 47) turn left onto Route 47 North. Go straight on Route 47 North for 4.5 miles and turn right on Nettleton Hollow Road. Go straight on Nettleton Hollow Road for approximately 5 miles to a stop sign. Proceed straight after the stop sign (the road is now called Romford Road) for 2 miles, across a single lane bridge, to the next stop sign which is in the middle of the Rumsey campus. From New York/Danbury, CT: I-684 North to 84 East. Take Exit 7 (Route 7 North, Brookfield/New Milford). Turn right at the end of the Route 7 expressway onto Route 202 East. Follow 202 East through Brookfield and New Milford. Approx. 8-9 miles out of New Milford, turn right onto Route 47 South. Go 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Route 109 East. Go 1 mile. Turn left onto Sabbaday Lane and follow to the end. Turn left; go across a single lane bridge to the stop sign which is in the middle of the Rumsey campus.

At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Route 101. Follow Route 101 to the center of Pomfret at the intersection of Routes 101 and 169. Turn right onto Route 169. Rectory School is located approximately two miles on the left (just after you pass Pomfret School). FROM BOSTON: Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) west to exit 10 (Auburn). After the toll booth, take I-395 South to exit 97 (route 44 to Putnam or Providence). At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Route 44 West. Travel on Route 44 through Putnam and proceed about five miles to the intersection of Routes 97, 169 and 44 in Pomfret. Turn left on Routes 44 and 169. Rectory School will be 1/4 mile on the right. FROM HARTFORD: Take Route I-84 East to exit 69 (Willington). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 74. Follow Route 74 East until it ends at Route 44. Take Route 44 East to Pomfret. Rectory School will be on the left after you have passed Pomfret School. FROM PROVIDENCE: Take Route I-95 North to Route 6. Take Route 6 West to Route I-395 North. Follow Route 395 to exit 93 (Dayville). At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Route 101. Follow Route 101 to the center of Pomfret at the intersection of Routes 101 and 169. Turn left at the third stop light onto North Farms Rd which becomes North Elm St. Turn left onto Christian ST at first four corner stop. From the north via Wilbur Cross- Merritt Parkway- Route 15: Take exit 66. Turn left onto route 5, go under the overpass. At the 4th light turn left & then left again onto route 68. Take the next right at North Main St. At the 3rd stop sign, turn left onto Christian St at 1st four corner-stop. From the south, via Wilbur Cross-Merritt Parkway- route 15: Exit 64. Turn right onto Quinnipiac St. Bear left at the fork, cross over the railroad tracks. Go straight through the traffic light (Quinnipiac becomes center st at this intersection). Turn left at the 2nd light onto North Main Street at the top of the hill. Turn right onto Christian St. From the west, via Interstate 84: Exit 26(Cheshire). Follow route 70 through Cheshire onto Route 68. Turn right at North Main St in Wallingford. At the 3rd stop sign turn left onto Christian Street at 1st four corner stop

If your departure point is further east (New Hampshire or Maine), using I-91 and the Mass. Pike (I-90) may be easier. Take I-90 west to Exit 2. From the west: Route 20 leads directly into the center of Pittsfield. From the south: If your departure point is NYC, the Taconic Parkway and/or Route 22 are easiest.
