Chair - Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, Master of Education, and Master of Science in engineering, science and technology entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame. He is the director of the Institute of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at Porter’s. He also coaches JV soccer and golf and advises both Moonbeams (the student-run boba shop) and the Future Business Leaders of America club. At Porter’s, Ryan combines his passions for education, entrepreneurship and design thinking. In class, he teaches his students to adapt to and even shape the unknown future. Ryan received The Class of 1959 Fund for a Career in the Classroom in 2023, and helped found the unofficial MPS teacher trivia team which competes locally.
